Emotional Quotient

  Today I graduated from IIT Guwahati with flying colours. I am honoured to receive my degree from the esteemed guests. I would like to thank my profs, parents, friends and all those who supported me in this journey… April Fool, guys! I haven’t graduated yet, am in my 6 th semester, and three months away from entering my final year. But I look forward to that day… Eating food at the hostel mess has been one of my many new experiences at IIT Guwahati. The conversations one has are refreshing and give the energy needed to pull off the other tasks for the day. One day there might be a new item on the menu of any of the hostels or canteens, and that will be the topic for discussion. Most of my conversations with my friends were really funny, and hilarious and ended up on an entirely different topic.   Its been a year since I came to IIT Guwahati, and I have been amazed by the beauty and atmosphere of the campus. IIT Guwahati campus is known for being one of the country's most beautiful campuses; getting to experience that in person has been a blessing for me.  Today I was cycling back from class to my hostel and heard a song playing from a guy’s phone who had just cycled past me swiftly. I heard a couple of beats and really started enjoying it. So I increased my cycle speed to catch the song more. Unfortunately, I could not catch the lyrics well to find out the song later, but the genre was more like an electronic wrap or something. After cycling behind the guy, he took a left turn for his hostel. I thanked him in my mind for the song and returned to the hostel. Sometimes all it needs is a few beats of a lively song to uplift your mood.
